Fixato is made by Fixato Inc., an independent software company. We built one thing: an AI agent that inspects a Windows PC the way a good technician would, explains what it finds in plain language, and repairs it — under your supervision, with a restore point before system changes.

The PC-repair category earned a bad reputation with fake alarms, invented error counts, and fear-based paywalls. We designed Fixato to be its opposite. The diagnosis is free and honest. When something can't be fixed in software — a hardware defect, a firmware issue — we tell you the truth and point you to the real remedy, even a manufacturer warranty claim, even when it earns us nothing.

How we work

  • Honest by design. No invented problems, no fear. If your PC is healthy, we say so — and prove it, point by point.
  • Safe by architecture. The agent only uses named, audited tools. Every change needs your explicit confirmation — system repairs behind a restore point — and all of it is logged.
  • Transparent. You see everything Fixato checks and everything it does. The detailed session log stays on your machine.
  • Private. We send only the diagnostic signals needed to reason about your problem — never the contents of your personal files without your explicit consent.

The technology

Fixato's reasoning is powered by frontier AI models, running server-side. The agent never has free rein over your system — it chooses from a closed list of named actions, and you approve each modifying step. You can read exactly what those actions are on our published tool list and help pages.
